Colorado Chili Dogs


  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion, diced
  • 1-1/2 cups Amalia's Cocina Chili Colorado Sauce
  • 6 all beef hot dogs
  • 6 premium hot dog buns
  • 1 cup Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 cup guacamole

In large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef. Breaking up the meat, brown until no longer pink, approximately 7-10 minutes. Add onion to meat mixture and stir in for one minute. Add sauce to meat and onion mixture. Mix well, until heated through. Set aside until hot dogs are finished.

In another pot, add hot dogs and water to cover. Boil until hot dogs are heated through (you can also microwave, grill or steam your dogs).

Add one hot dog to each bun. Spoon meat mixture over hot dogs. Sprinkle with cheese and guacamole.
